"Healthy, hardworking youth, wake up, wake up, change the face of the country, be

active, energetic, dynamic, the nation seeks strength."

The age of youth is found to be between 15 and 35 years in most countries, while international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank define the age group as 15 to 24 years. In the case of Nepal, the Interim Constitution of Nepal defined the age group of 15 to 29 years as youth. The National Youth Council Act, 2072 BS and the National Youth Policy, 2072 BS have defined the youth age group as 16 to 40 years. 'Youth Vision-2025 has been divided into 16 to 24 year old and 25 to 40 year old age group group priorities. V.S. According to the 2068 census, the age group of 16 to 40 years of Nepal's population is 40.35 percent of the total population.

The 54th General Assembly of the United Nations held on December 17, 1999 decided to celebrate August 12 as International Youth Day. The main objective of the Youth Day is to raise voice in favor of youth issues, to implement the existing national and international constitutional provisions, acts, laws and declarations, to make those who do not exist and to advocate for timely amendments as required. It is also about creating positive pressure at the local, national and international levels. The day has been declared to make the world's governments and stakeholders aware of the issues of youth. This year's international slogan is Youth Engagement for Global Action The national slogan is "Youth Participation for Global Campaign: Youth Involvement in Employment Promotion and Environmental Protection".
